Matthew Sydney Whealy

Matt was born and raised on the North Shore of Sydney.

His mother, a noted musician and music teacher, made sure his upbringing was a musical one, with Matt having studied a number of instruments, finally sticking to the sax.

Matt went to school at Riverview in Lane cove, where he completed the HSC in 1990.

After High school Matt graduated College with a degree in interior and graphic design, but decided not to pursue a career in that field as it was not hands on enough to keep him interested.

After working for 2 years in the SCUBA training industry ( a deep passion of Matts) he took a job to renovate the theatre room for Cremorne Hi Fi in Sydney. Matt was a friend of the manager, who knew of his talents and of his love for High end Hi Fi equipment.

After doing such a great job with the Cremorne Hi Fi theater room, Matt was offered a full time position with Cremorne Hi Fi, doing sales and after hours installs.

It was not long before Matt was made the Manager of Cremorne Hi Fi and he did this until he was approached to work for Audio Excellence at Drumoyne. At the time Audio Excellence was the most prestigious Hi Fi store in Australia, and Matt was asked to run the installation department. A great honour.

Matt was with Audio Excellence for a further 5 years until the owner decided to move on from Hi Fi and sadly the retail doors were closed.

Matt continued to trade as Audio Excellence on his own for the next 2 years until he was approached by Len Wallis Audio to join the team as head installer.

During his Time at Len Wallis Audio, Matt was involved in working on all the important jobs, due to his ability to get the job done right for the client the first time.

After a couple of years as head installer Matt was moved into the office to help with project management and it was not long before he was made Head of the division.

Matt proudly managed the custom division at Len Wallis audio for the next 5 years seeing the division win many awards for outstanding achievements.

In September of 2006 Matt and his wife left Sydney for a sea change. Matt and Lisas love for nature and his diving, finally convinced him to leave the big city and move to Forster NSW.

Matt then started up Audiomation PTY LTD with his long time friend and work collegue from Len Wallis Audio, Jon Spencer.

Matt and Jon are now following their dreams and designing and installing world class systems all over the country. And on their days off they enjoy a scuba dive in the morning, some wake boarding in the afternoon and a trail bike ride at dusk!!
